Welcome to dropoff.lol. These Terms explain the rules for using the dropoff.lol website and its file-sharing services. By accessing or using dropoff.lol, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the service.
dropoff.lol is a browser-based, peer-to-peer file-sharing platform. Depending on the version you use, files may be transferred directly between participating browsers using technologies such as WebRTC rather than being stored on a central server. The technical architecture, transfer methods, limits, and features may change as the platform develops, and any limits shown in the product may apply only to a particular version or feature.
You are responsible for using dropoff.lol only for lawful and legitimate purposes and for making sure that anything you upload, transfer, receive, or share is appropriate for you to handle and distribute. The service may be updated, temporarily unavailable, discontinued, or replaced at any time, and it may rely on third-party infrastructure, hosting, and analytics providers that have their own terms and privacy policies. The service is intended to be used responsibly, in accordance with applicable age requirements and laws.
You retain ownership of any files and content you provide or transfer through dropoff.lol, and you are responsible for having the necessary rights, permissions, licenses, or authorizations to share them. Do not use the service to distribute content that is illegal, fraudulent, threatening, abusive, defamatory, invasive of privacy, or otherwise unlawful, and do not knowingly share malware, ransomware, viruses, spyware, or malicious scripts. Do not attempt to circumvent security controls, impersonate another person, or interfere with the service or another user's device. Respect copyright, trademarks, patents, and other intellectual-property rights.
dropoff.lol is not a permanent cloud-storage or backup service. Maintain your own copies and backups of important files, verify files after a transfer, and do not rely on the service as your only storage location. A transfer session may expire or become unavailable when a browser session ends or technical conditions change.
Depending on the implementation, files may move directly between participating browsers rather than being stored by us. However, technical metadata, connection information, logs, analytics, and error information may still be processed when needed to operate, secure, troubleshoot, or improve the service, as described in the applicable Privacy Policy.
Peer-to-peer connections depend on network conditions, browser support, firewall settings, NAT traversal, and other technical factors, and may use signaling or relay infrastructure while two browsers find each other. Direct transfer does not guarantee that every part of the connection stays private, and WebRTC is not an anonymity system. Avoid sharing highly sensitive information unless you understand the risks and have verified that the service fits your needs.
dropoff.lol aims to make transfers reliable, but uninterrupted or error-free delivery cannot be guaranteed. Transfers may fail because of browser limitations, device sleep, network interruptions, insufficient storage, unsupported file types, or bandwidth restrictions. We may also introduce or change limits on file size, transfer duration, number of files, simultaneous transfers, bandwidth, or other usage metrics. If you discover a security vulnerability, report it responsibly rather than exploiting it, and if you believe someone is using the service for illegal activity, malware, harassment, infringement, or another form of abuse, report it to the team with enough detail to investigate.
If account-based features are introduced in the future, you will be responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity conducted through your account. Never share authentication credentials with others. Do not attempt to bypass, disable, probe, or interfere with the security mechanisms used by dropoff.lol or its infrastructure. Access may be restricted, suspended, or terminated where reasonably necessary to protect the service, its users, infrastructure, or third parties, including for suspected abuse, unlawful activity, security risk, or violation of these Terms.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, dropoff.lol is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without guarantees that the service will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or free from errors. The platform and its operators are not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar losses arising from use of or inability to use the service, including loss of data or interrupted transfers. You are responsible for reasonable claims, losses, liabilities, or expenses arising from your unlawful use of the service, infringement of another person's rights, or violation of these Terms. These Terms operate subject to the laws applicable to the service and its users, may be updated from time to time, and apply alongside the Privacy Policy published on the website.
